Plumber

A plumber is someone who works with pipes, water systems, and drains. They make sure water can flow into our homes and businesses and that waste water can leave safely. Plumbers fix things like leaky taps, clogged drains, and broken pipes. They also install new plumbing systems in buildings, ensuring everything works properly.

What tools do you use to do your job?
Plumbers use special tools to help them with their work. Some of the most common tools are pipe wrenches, pliers, pipe cutters, and screwdrivers. They also use things like a tape measure to measure pipes, a drain snake to clear clogged pipes, and a pipe bender to shape pipes into the right curves.

What makes a good plumber?
A good plumber is someone who is very good at solving problems. They need to be patient and pay attention to details. They should also be able to work well with their hands and be good at fixing things. Being a good communicator is also important so they can explain what’s wrong and how to fix it. Plumbers also need to be reliable because people count on them to fix problems quickly and correctly.

What do you do each day?
Each day, a plumber might start by going to a customer’s house or business to see what needs fixing. They might be asked to fix a leaky sink, clear a blocked drain, or install a new shower. First, they look at the problem carefully and figure out what is causing it. Then, they use their tools to fix the problem. Sometimes, they work with other people like builders or electricians to make sure everything is working together. At the end of the day, they might have to clean up their work area and make sure everything is running smoothly before leaving.
